EU Court of Justice introduces Twitter and a new mobile application for press releases

Luxembourg, 16-4-2013 — /europawire.eu/ — The Court of Justice of the European Union makes two new information feeds on its activity available to the public.

Twitter

From today, the Press and Information Unit is using Twitter to inform the public about the Court’s activity.

One to three Tweets per week will henceforth be sent concerning decisions and certain institutional events.

For more information, please consult our Twitter usage policy.

Mobile application for press releases

From today, a new index page for press releases in a format suitable for mobile equipment is also available.

Users can therefore access the last 10 press releases by consulting the site www.curia.europa.eu/jcms/mobile.jsp from the browser of a GSM or tablet.

Those press releases, disseminated by the Press and Information Unit of the Court, give rapidly comprehensible information on the essential points of judgments and Opinions or essential information on certain events (formal sittings, official visits …).

Press releases are still available on the Court’s website (www.curia.europa.eu) and are accessible via the RSS feed.

Users of this new application will also have access to practical information, such as the access plan of the institution’s buildings.

Unofficial document for media use, not binding on the Court of Justice.
