Ericsson selected by Telkomsel for a full radio transformation in Indonesia’s Kalimantan region

STOCKHOLM, 4-11-2015 — /EuropaWire/ — Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) has been selected by Telkomsel, Indonesia’s largest mobile operator, for a full radio transformation in Indonesia’s Kalimantan region.

The upgrade will ensure that Telkomsel’s network is equipped with multi-standard radio base stations for GSM and WCDMA/HSPA(3G) that can meet the rapidly increasing data demands and boost mobile broadband network performance, while making it ready for 4G/LTE.

The transformation project includes the introduction of Ericsson’s RBS 6320, a low-cost, main remote enclosure product, developed for tropical climates.
