(IN BRIEF) EQT Life Sciences is investing USD 17.5 million in Vaderis Therapeutics as part of the Swiss biotechnology company’s USD 152 million Series B financing. (PRESS RELEASE) STOCKHOLM, 12-Aug-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — EQT Life Sciences has announced its participation in Vaderis Therapeutics’ USD 152 million Series B financing, investing USD 17.5 million through one of its managed funds.

The financing will support Vaderis Therapeutics as it advances engasertib, its lead programme for hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia, known as HHT, a rare genetic vascular disease for which there are currently no approved therapies.

The Series B round was co-led by Life Sciences at Goldman Sachs Alternatives and TCGX.

Additional participants included Omega Funds, Perceptive Advisors, Kalehua Capital and existing investors Medicxi and Droia.

The proceeds are expected to support Vaderis through its capital needs up to potential regulatory approval of engasertib.

Vaderis Therapeutics is a Swiss clinical-stage biotechnology company developing targeted therapies for rare vascular diseases.

Its lead programme, engasertib, is being developed as a potential first treatment specifically designed for HHT.

HHT is a rare inherited blood vessel disorder affecting approximately 1 in 3,800 people.

The condition is associated with recurrent and severe nosebleeds, known as epistaxis, chronic anaemia and potentially life-threatening vascular abnormalities.

The financing will support the initiation of HEROIC, Vaderis’ global Phase 3 study evaluating engasertib in HHT.

The start of the pivotal trial follows the publication of positive proof-of-concept and long-term extension data for engasertib in The New England Journal of Medicine.

The data demonstrated clinically meaningful and sustained improvements across multiple measures of disease in patients with HHT.

Vaderis said these results established the scientific foundation for moving engasertib into pivotal development and highlighted the therapy’s potential to address significant unmet needs for patients living with HHT.

EQT Life Sciences will support Vaderis as the company advances engasertib through Phase 3 development and toward potential regulatory approval.

The firm will draw on its experience supporting biotechnology companies through late-stage clinical development and will work alongside Vaderis’ management team to help execute the company’s development strategy.

Christoph Broja, CFA, Partner at EQT Life Sciences, will join the Vaderis board as an observer.

He said HHT remains a serious, lifelong disease with no approved treatment anywhere in the world, despite affecting tens of thousands of patients.

Broja added that engasertib’s proof-of-concept data provided strong confidence in the science, and that EQT Life Sciences is pleased to support the Vaderis team as it advances the programme into Phase 3 with the goal of potentially delivering the first dedicated therapy for patients with HHT.

Azmi Nabulsi, MD, MPH, President and Chief Executive Officer of Vaderis Therapeutics, said the financing and initiation of the HEROIC study represent a defining moment for HHT patients.

He said the launch of the first Phase 3 study using a molecule specifically developed for HHT marks an important new chapter.

Nabulsi also recognised the role of patients, investigators, study teams and advocacy organisations, and thanked investors for the confidence and support that helped bring the company to this stage.

Through its investment, EQT Life Sciences is backing a late-stage rare disease biotechnology programme with the potential to address a serious vascular disorder that currently has no approved treatment options.
