(PRESS RELEASE) LUXEMBOURG, 15-Feb-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — The European Investment Bank (EIB) continues its ongoing partnership with One World Media (OWM) for the fifth consecutive year, supporting the Women’s Solutions Reporting Award. This award is one of 13 prestigious accolades that recognize exceptional media coverage from and about the global south. The OWM Awards honor journalism and filmmaking that challenge stereotypes, reshape narratives, and enhance understanding across diverse global issues.

The Women’s Solutions Reporting Award, in particular, focuses on celebrating the crucial contributions of women in addressing global challenges. From financial inclusion and climate action to advancements in healthcare and education, the award shines a spotlight on the transformative initiatives led by women around the world. By amplifying these stories, the award seeks to inspire action and demonstrate how women are driving the change needed for a more sustainable and equitable future.

Vivienne Francis, Director of One World Media, remarked, “In a time when the rights and freedoms of women and girls are under threat globally, we are proud to support storytelling that brings attention to these critical issues. These stories showcase the power of journalism to create meaningful social change and improve lives.”
