EBRD Board of Directors to Engage with Estonia and Latvia on Investment Projects

(IN BRIEF) The EBRD Board of Directors will visit Estonia from 15-17 September and Latvia from 17-20 September 2024 for consultations with senior government officials, business leaders, and international partners. The delegation will review EBRD-funded public and private projects, with discussions focused on capital market development and digitalisation. Estonia and Latvia, founding members of the EBRD, have received over €2 billion in investments since 1991. The visits will reinforce the EBRD’s commitment to supporting economic growth in the Baltic region.

(PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 13-Sep-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Board of Directors will visit Estonia from 15-17 September and Latvia from 17-20 September 2024 as part of their regular consultations with member countries. The visit will offer EBRD representatives the opportunity to engage with senior government officials, business leaders, and international partners, while reviewing both private and public projects financed by the Bank.

The delegation, including directors from Sweden, Finland, Canada, and other countries, will meet key figures such as Estonia’s Central Bank Governor Madis Muller and Latvia’s Minister of Finance Arvils Ašeradens.
