DSM, Booth #9794, FoodTech Processing & Packaging, Herning, Denmark, 1-3 November 2016

DELFT, 11-Oct-2016 — /EuropaWire/ — DSM will showcase solutions that meet consumer demands for healthier dairy, such as sugar-reduced yogurt and low-fat cheese, at this year’s FoodTech. The growing trend for health and wellness has resulted in an increasing demand for healthy food products. Furthermore, DSM is to address the need for more efficient and sustainable dairy production by displaying solutions that reduce cheese-ripening time and extend the shelf-life of cheese.

At its booth, DSM will present its extended solutions for Continental cheese. The new cultures added to the broad portfolio of cultures, coagulants and lipases, include Delvo®Cheese CT-Light and Delvo®Cheese CT-Taste. Delvo Cheese CT-Light enhances the texture and taste of low-fat cheese while giving the sensation of a full-fat product. Delvo Cheese CT-Taste culture enables a reduction of the ripening time while maintaining shelf-life, taste and cheese texture.

DSM will also highlight its range of white cheese cultures to address consumer demand for a milder and fresher flavor of white cheeses, such as Feta. These cultures come as part of DSM’s total solution, along with enzymes and technical support, to improve not just the taste, but also the affordability and shelf-life of white cheese.

In addition, DSM will highlight the increasing consumer demand for healthier fresh dairy, such as protein-rich quark and sugar-reduced yogurt. DSM will bring its expertise to the show and advise quark producers on how they can address consumer demands for smoother, creamier quark with a mild flavor using the new Delvo®Fresh range of quark cultures, which also contribute to faster and more efficient quark production. The combination of Maxilact® lactase and Delvo®Yog FVV-122 can reduce the amount of added sugar in flavored yogurt and flavored milk, while retaining the natural sweet taste, flavor and texture that consumers demand.

Join DSM at booth #9794 and taste various varieties of Continental cheese, Feta, low sugar yogurt and quark.

DSM continues to invest in and expand its range of cultures and enzymes for the dairy industry, including expert knowledge and services. The company offers one of the broadest portfolios of dairy solutions, enabling better food for everyone. To respond to current and future needs, DSM helps to make existing diets healthier and more sustainable, creating affordable and accessible foods that different people around the world can truly enjoy without compromise.
