Just in time for the Posidonia trade fair in Greece, DNV GL has published this year’s first issue of the classification society’s customer and stakeholder magazine Maritime Impact. It features outstanding projects with customers and covers digital innovation and other technology trends in shipping.
OSLO, 07-Jun-2016 — /EuropaWire/ — The theme of the issue is: ‘Keeping the Promise’. “At DNV GL, using data in a smarter way is one of our core strategies for the future. It forms the basis of our customer-centric strategy – part of what makes us not only the world’s leading classification society but the most modern,” says Knut Ørbeck-Nilssen, CEO of DNV GL – Maritime. “In this issue we look at some of our projects that show what we mean by modern class, including the use of drones to survey ship tanks, a new service that helps customers enhance the cybersecurity of their systems, and the first vessel classed to the new DNV GL rule set.”
