Deutsche Börse to Leverage Google Cloud for Digital Asset Market Operations

(IN BRIEF) Deutsche Börse and Google Cloud have partnered to enhance Deutsche Börse’s cloud adoption and improve its digital securities platform, D7. Deutsche Börse will leverage Google Cloud’s secure infrastructure and data analytics capabilities to accelerate the development of D7 and enhance its data distribution. The two companies will also invest in regulatory controls and security features to meet regulatory requirements. The partnership also aims to innovate Deutsche Börse’s digital asset business with an institutional-grade offering and expand these capabilities to more asset classes over time. The partnership will also focus on cybersecurity and adherence to existing regulations.

(PRESS RELEASE) FRANKFURT, 9-Feb-2023 — /EuropaWire/ —  Deutsche Börse Group (ETR: DB1), an international exchange organisation and innovative market infrastructure provider and Google Cloud today announced a strategic partnership to accelerate the adoption and efficiency of cloud technology within Deutsche Börse. The partnership will leverage Google Cloud’s secure infrastructure and leading data and analytics capabilities to drive the development of Deutsche Börse’s digital securities platform, D7.

With a multi-cloud strategy, Deutsche Börse has already set new standards for cloud innovation in the financial services industry. Google Cloud will become Deutsche Börse’s preferred cloud partner for the next decade, helping to further enhance cloud adoption and efficiency.

The D7 platform represents a new paradigm for handling the end-to-end processing of digital securities, providing interoperability with both legacy and new environments based on distributed ledger technology. The platform will be underpinned by Google Cloud’s scalable and secure infrastructure and feature an intelligent data analytics layer powered by Google Cloud’s BigQuery and Analytics Hub. With this enhanced platform, Deutsche Börse will be able to deliver new applications, products, and digital securities services to its customers and the wider financial industry.
