(PRESS RELEASE) FRANKFURT, 17-Jul-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Deutsche Bank has received a series of major awards at the 2026 Euromoney Awards for Excellence, recognising the bank’s global research capabilities, continued leadership in Germany and expanding investment banking strength across Asia-Pacific.

The awards highlight Deutsche Bank’s Global Hausbank strategy, which is focused on serving clients across their financial needs by combining global reach with local expertise.

Deutsche Bank was named The World’s Best for Research, one of the top honours in the 2026 Euromoney Awards. The recognition reflects the quality, depth and impact of the bank’s global research platform.

The bank also received regional and country-level research awards, being named Europe’s Best for Research and Germany’s Best for Research.

David Folkerts-Landau, Group Chief Economist and Global Head of Research at Deutsche Bank, said the global research award is a major achievement for the bank.

“‘The World’s Best for Research’ is a monumental achievement for Deutsche Bank. It powerfully affirms the exceptional quality and impact of our global research team,” said Folkerts-Landau.

He added that the awards for global, European and German research reflect the dedication of Deutsche Bank’s economists and analysts, who provide clients with differentiated insights to support informed decision-making.

Deutsche Bank also reaffirmed its strength in Europe, winning Germany’s Best Investment Bank for the fifth consecutive year.

The bank’s investment banking performance was further recognised with awards for Switzerland’s Best Investment Bank for Debt Capital Markets and Europe’s Best Investment Bank for Financial Institutions Group.

The 2026 awards also underline Deutsche Bank’s targeted growth in key international markets, particularly in Asia-Pacific.

The bank won four major M&A awards in the region, being named China’s Best Investment Bank for M&A, Indonesia’s Best Investment Bank for M&A, Malaysia’s Best Investment Bank for M&A and Singapore’s Best Investment Bank for M&A.

Alison Harding-Jones, Global Co-Head of Investment Bank and Global Head of Investment Banking & Capital Markets at Deutsche Bank, said the bank is seeing growing strategic interest in panda bonds among multinational clients.

“From an underwriter’s perspective, we are seeing panda bonds shift from being a tactical option to a strategic component for many of our multinational clients,” said Harding-Jones.

She said panda bonds can help companies create a natural hedge by aligning local currency debt with onshore operations and revenue streams.

Harding-Jones added that this strategic integration, combined with a stable funding environment and favourable financing costs, allows companies to diversify funding sources and build more resilient global treasury structures over the long term.

The Euromoney Awards for Excellence were established in 1992 and are widely regarded as leading accolades in the global financial services industry.

The awards recognise institutions that demonstrate leadership, innovation and momentum in the markets they serve. Winners are selected by Euromoney’s editors, journalists and researchers through an independent review process that combines quantitative data with qualitative assessment of strategy, performance and client service.

Deutsche Bank said the awards reinforce the strength of its Global Hausbank model.

As a Global Hausbank, Deutsche Bank aims to be the trusted partner for clients’ financial needs wherever they operate. With a presence across 56 markets, the bank combines local knowledge with global capabilities.

The model brings together expertise from Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Bank, Investment Bank, Private Bank and Asset Management divisions to deliver broader support to clients navigating change and pursuing opportunities.
