Daniel Leimbach Takes Over as Head of Customer Unit Western Europe for Ericsson

(IN BRIEF) Ericsson has appointed Daniel Leimbach as the Head of Customer Unit Western Europe, effective from May 1st, 2023. Leimbach will continue to serve as the Managing Director of Ericsson Germany and lead the business with customers in Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. He will focus on implementing sustainable mobile broadband communication solutions and utilizing 5G technology in Industry 4.0, mission-critical infrastructure, and new consumer services. Ericsson employs over 3,300 employees across these three countries and provides communication technology and services to key customers such as Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, Telefónica, Swisscom, KPN, and T-Mobile Netherlands.

(PRESS RELEASE) STOCKHOLM, 4-May-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC), a Swedish multinational networking and telecommunications company, has appointed Daniel Leimbach as Head of Customer Unit Western Europe, effective May 1st, 2023. Leimbach, who currently serves as Managing Director of Ericsson Germany, will lead the business with customers in Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland from his base in Düsseldorf.

In his new role, Leimbach will focus on translating Ericsson innovations into pioneer projects with customers, implementing sustainable mobile broadband communication solutions, and utilizing 5G technology in Industry 4.0, mission-critical infrastructure, and new consumer services.

Leimbach has been with Ericsson for over 15 years, serving in various positions, including Key Account Manager and Vice President. He has also worked for Ericsson in Asia. Prior to his career at Ericsson, he worked at Alcatel-Lucent. Leimbach holds an MBA from the University of Oxford, a Diploma in Business Administration (BA), and a bachelor’s degree from the Open University of London.

The three countries, Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, are home to over 3,300 Ericsson employees who support key customers such as Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, Telefónica, Swisscom, KPN, and T-Mobile Netherlands.

The appointment of Daniel Leimbach is expected to strengthen Ericsson’s position in Western Europe and reinforce its commitment to providing innovative communication solutions to its customers.
