Brandis brings more than 20 years of experience across legal and compliance, corporate development, strategy, operations, finance, M&A and international business leadership, including senior roles at Wacker Chemie AG and Wacker Chemical Corporation. (PRESS RELEASE) LEINFELDEN-ECHTERDINGEN, 12-Aug-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Daimler Truck has appointed Dr Tobias Brandis as its new Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, effective 1 October 2026.

In his new role, Dr Brandis will assume responsibility for Legal, Compliance and Corporate Audit at Daimler Truck.

He will also take on the position of Human Rights Officer for the company.

Dr Brandis succeeds Dr Florian Hofer, who has left Daimler Truck at his own request to pursue new professional opportunities.

Karin Rådström, CEO of Daimler Truck, said Dr Brandis combines a strong business mindset with an empowering leadership style and strong communication skills.

She said he has spent more than 20 years leading businesses and shaping corporate functions across strategy, operations, finance, mergers and acquisitions, and legal and compliance.

Rådström added that she is confident Dr Brandis will lead the Legal and Compliance team with clarity, focus and a strong spirit of collaboration, helping Daimler Truck move to the next level.

Dr Brandis, aged 55, studied law in Germany at Heidelberg and Tübingen, as well as in Geneva, Switzerland.

He later earned his doctorate at Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich.

He began his professional career in 2000 as an attorney at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Düsseldorf.

In 2007, he joined Wacker Chemie AG, where he held leadership roles in Legal and Corporate Development.

In 2014, he became Chief Financial Officer of Wacker Chemical Corporation in Adrian, Michigan, USA.

Since January 2017, Dr Brandis has served as President of Wacker Chemie AG’s global Polysilicon business unit.

In that role, he led the worldwide business and drove strategic and operational transformation initiatives.

Through the appointment, Daimler Truck is adding a senior executive with broad experience across legal and compliance functions, corporate development, finance, operations and international business leadership to its management structure.

The company said the appointment supports continued focus on clear governance, compliance leadership and collaboration across corporate functions.
