Daimler AG presents broad product portfolio at IFAT 2016

Stuttgart / Munich, 19-May-2016 — /EuropaWire/ — At the 50th IFAT, this year’s world-leading trade fair for water, effluent, waste and raw materials management, Daimler AG is once again represented with a broad product portfolio. From 30 May to 3 June, the Group is showing a host of powerful, economical and safe vehicles for the municipal sector. At stand 341 in Hall C4, in the outside area and at the demonstrations, information will be available on all the model series with industry-specific body variants.

The exhibits include the platform chassis of an Antos 2535 L 6×2 with Allison automatic transmission with torque converter – a world first in an Antos – as well as a Mercedes-Benz Arocs 1835 LK 4×2 with tipper chassis and a Faun sweeper body. There is also an Atego 1321 L 4×2 with crewcab and platform as well as an Atego 1530 AK with winter service equipment from Aebi-Schmidt.

A chassis of the Econic 2630 NGT 6×2/4 ENA with 3900 mm wheelbase and an Econic 2630 NGT 6×2/4 with Faun body will demonstrate the benefits of this low-entry model. Consistent further development measures include a higher driver’s door with wider opening angle and an optional blind spot camera system that provides the driver with indirect all-round visibility by means of a monitor.

Specific applications in the water management sector are demonstrated on the basis of the Unimog U 430, which is equipped with a Mulag front-mounted mulcher and a special-purpose platform plus a frame-mounted cable winch with rear extension and slope support by forestry specialist Schlang & Reichart. A Unimog U 530 with a Schmidt snow blower will be presented as a professional winter service vehicle for Alpine regions.

The Fuso Canter 7C15 with suction body is tailor-made for work in sewers, while a rear-loading Fuso Canter 7C18 with Faun body is configured for waste collection and a Fuso Canter 6C18D 4×4 with Meiller three-way tipper and Aebi Schmidt front mounting plate is designed for winter service.
