Cyprus Peer Review reveals excellent approach to sustainability and calls for a more coherent approach to Global Education

GENE – Global Education Network Europe – is launching the Peer Review Report of Global Education in Cyprus on Thursday 5 October, 2017.

Representatives from Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Development Aid Agencies and Ministries of Education, as well as the European Commission are coming to Nicosia to celebrate the launch of the GENE Peer Review Report on Global Education in Cyprus. The launch is taking place at the Cyprus Parliament during GENE’s 37th Roundtable event.

As Europe and the world continue to face crises related to inequality, conflict and migration, the GENE Peer Review of Global Education in Cyprus examines the country’s efforts to promote Global Education to its students and to the wider population. The Peer Review report outlines some unique strengths and good practice in Cyprus – including its excellent track record of collaborative working – along with a set of specific observations and recommendations to aid Cyprus’ policy makers and education actors in their efforts to improve and increase Global Education in the country.

Several dignitaries will be in attendance, including the President of the House of Representatives, the Minister of Education and Culture (MoEC), the Permanent Secretary of the MoEC and the Deputy Chair of the Committee for Educational Affairs and Culture of the House of Representatives.
