Covestro announces the extension of contract of Board Member and CFO Dr. Thomas Toepfer until 2026

(PRESS RELEASE) LEVERKUSEN, 20-Jul-2020 — /EuropaWire/ — German producer of specialty chemicals, Covestro AG announces the decision of its Supervisory Board to extend the contract of Board of Management member Dr. Thomas Toepfer earlier than scheduled by five years from April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2026. Since April 1, 2018, Dr. Toepfer has been a member of the Management Board of Covestro AG. Dr. Toepfer oversees accounting, controlling and finance as the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He is also responsible for investor relations, information technology, portfolio development, tax and legal affairs as well as intellectual property and compliance. Dr. Toepfer was also appointed labor director at Covestro AG in January 2019. Covestro took a major step to ensure continuity in economically challenging times by extending Dr. Toepfer’s contract ahead of schedule.
