Changes in Fortum Corporation’s Management Team

Anne Brunila to leave Fortum Management Team – Helena Aatinen to be appointed as member of the Management Team

26-10-2012 — /europawire.eu/ — Helena Aatinen, MSc Econ., has been appointed as Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications and a member of Fortum Corporation’s Management Team. Helena Aatinen will report to President and CEO Tapio Kuula.

Anne Brunila, who joined Fortum Corporation as Executive Vice President and
member of the Management Team in September 2009, will leave her position on her own request. Her responsibility area has covered Corporate Communications, Corporate Relations and Sustainability and since 2012 also Corporate Strategy. Anne Brunila will continue in agreed development projects until spring 2013 and report to President and CEO Tapio Kuula.

“It has been extremely rewarding to work at Fortum and in a company that
belongs to the top in sustainability within its own sector in all its main
markets and businesses: Nordic countries, Russia, Poland and the Baltic
countries. Fortum has developed best practices in many areas and launched
innovative solutions for sustainable urban living”, says Anne Brunila.

“Anne Brunila has made a valuable contribution to Fortum in sustainability and
in building Fortum’s brand and communications as well as in strategy
development. It has been great to work with her. At the same time, I wish
Helena Aatinen warmly welcome to join our Management Team and to lead Fortum’s group wide communications and branding activities”, says Tapio Kuula.

“These changes give us the possibility to rethink our current organisation
structure and slightly reorganise the Management Team’s responsibility areas as
follows. Corporate Strategy will be combined with Mergers & Acquisitions
reporting to CFO Markus Rauramo, who will also take over the responsibility for
the Sustainability function. Public Affairs and Corporate Relations will report
to the President and CEO”, Kuula continues.

The changes will come into effect on 1 November 2012.
