MADRID, 14-5-2015 — /EuropaWire/ — Cepsa and Cepsa Chemicals have obtained the certification that accredits them as Family-Friendly Companies (FFC) in a process that will gradually spread to other companies in the Cepsa Group. The award, sponsored by Fundación Másfamilia, was granted after both companies successfully passed audits carried out by AENOR (Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification). The Family-Friendly Company certification includes compliance with measures related to employment quality, flexibility, family support, work and family life balance, equal opportunities and professional development opportunities for employees.

The presentation of the certification was chaired by the Minister of Health, Social Services and Equality, Alfonso Alonso, and the President of Fundación Másfamilia, Antonio Trueba. In representation of Cepsa, the certification was collected by the company’s Director of Human Resources and Organisation, Carlos Moran, who commented: “Our company has a strong commitment to its professionals that also reaches their families. Throughout our history, we have incorporated new measures and policies to facilitate the development of our employees’ work and family lives, providing equal opportunities for talent without prejudice to other personal aspects.”

Together with Cepsa, another eighty companies have received this certification of quality in reconciliating work and family life. Instituto de Crédito Oficial and the Director of Human Resources and Organisation of Cepsa were responsible for speaking on behalf of the 81 new FFCs. Testimonies were also given by some of the employees who have benefited from their companies’ commitment to reconciliation. These included from Ecoembes and Inés de Jorge, from Cepsa.

With these new additions, 460 entities have now implemented the FFC management model and undergone a rigorous and thorough external validation for this seal of quality in reconciliation and equal opportunities.

The FFC initiative, developed by Fundación MásFamilia, is a unique tool in the world that provides a simple and effective methodology to enable reconciliation processes in companies and institutions. It is a management model based on continuous improvement and responds to a new working culture in the field of corporate social responsibility.
