Centrica champions on climate change disclosure

(PRESS RELEASE) WINDSOR, UK, 21-Jan-2020 — /EuropaWire/ — Multinational energy and services Centrica proves itself once again to be the world leader for strategic action on climate change, said by CDP Worldwide.

Based on the climate change report in 2019 by the CDP, Centrica has been listed to the ‘A List’ for their action and disclosure on climate change. Centrica has been included as one of the 10 companies in their sector that attained the highest standard.

CDP Worldwide is a UK-based Non-Government Organization is a widely-known for its environmental disclosure and scoring process as the measure of corporate environmental transparency.

Yearly, the CDP is publishing the ‘Climate Change A List’ with the A List for Leadership on protecting forests and water security.

In 2019, Centrica has set its goals in countering climate change by 2030 by reducing emissions by 25 percent, by direct (3 percent) and indirect action (baseline 2015).

Centrica also dedicates itself by delivering 7GW of flexible, distributed and low carbon technologies as well as provide system access and optimisation services.

Lasty, Centrica commits on demonstrating progress with Paris goals that will develop a path to net zero by 2050.
