Capgemini announces agreement with the UK’s HM Revenue and Customs on the phased transition of the Aspire contract

PARIS, 30-Mar-2016 — /EuropaWire/ — Capgemini, one of the world’s foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, today announced an agreement with the UK’s HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) on the phased transition of the Aspire contract. Under this agreement Capgemini will continue as a strategic supplier to HMRC notably in Application Development and Management services through to June 2020 in support of HMRC’s ambition of being one of the world’s most digitally advanced tax authorities.

In support of HMRC’s decision to take greater control of IT, Capgemini will transition a number of services between now and June 2017. As part of its continuing role as a strategic supplier in Applications Development and Management services in areas such as SAP, Analytics and Testing, Capgemini will also contribute to HMRC’s Digital Transformation program. This builds on 12 years of successful partnership with HMRC and the delivery of services which have underpinned the collection of UK Tax.

“Capgemini’s ambition has always been to remain a significant partner to HMRC post-2017,” comments Salil Parekh, Member of the Group Management Board at Capgemini. “This agreement will see Capgemini applying its deep expertise in digital transformation as well as application development, management and quality assurance to support HMRC in realising its ambitious digital vision.”

Today’s news of this continued collaboration with HMRC to support its transformational goals underlines Capgemini’s commitment to the UK public sector.
