(PRESS RELEASE) ESSEN, 9-Sep-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Brenntag Pharma has entered into a new exclusive distribution partnership with Indovinya Belgium N.V., part of the Indorama Group, covering selected polyethylene glycols and polysorbates for pharmaceutical and nutraceutical applications across eight European countries.

Under the agreement, Brenntag will distribute Indovinya’s Oxipurity® polyethylene glycol and polysorbate portfolio in France, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway, expanding its range of pharmaceutical excipients and strengthening its position in formulation markets across Europe.

The partnership combines Indovinya’s manufacturing expertise in non-ionic surfactants with Brenntag’s regional distribution network, technical support capabilities and customer relationships.

Agreement expands Brenntag’s pharmaceutical excipient portfolio

Brenntag said the partnership strengthens its offering of high-quality excipients used across pharmaceutical and nutraceutical formulation.

Polyethylene glycols, also known as Macrogols, and polysorbates are multifunctional excipients used in a wide range of dosage forms, including tablets, hard and soft capsules, oral liquid formulations, topical preparations and suppositories.

The agreement gives Brenntag customers across the covered European markets access to Indovinya’s Oxipurity® range together with regional commercial and technical support.

Oxipurity® products manufactured to pharmaceutical quality standards

Indovinya’s Oxipurity® 4000 polyethylene glycol product line is manufactured under EXCiPACT GMP certification and complies with the requirements of the European Pharmacopoeia (EP) and United States Pharmacopeia (USP).

The Oxipurity® 7080 polysorbate range is produced in accordance with ANVISA and IPEC-PQG Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines and also complies with EP and USP pharmacopoeial standards.

Brenntag said these quality and regulatory frameworks are intended to provide European pharmaceutical and nutraceutical customers with a reliable source of compliant excipients for formulation development and commercial manufacturing.

Partnership covers eight European markets

The exclusive distribution arrangement includes:

France
Italy

The geographic scope gives Brenntag an opportunity to expand the Oxipurity® portfolio across established pharmaceutical markets while providing customers with closer access to product expertise and supply-chain support.

Brenntag targets new pharmaceutical and nutraceutical formulation projects

Joakim Rehné, Regional President EMEA at Brenntag Pharma, said the partnership expands Brenntag’s high-quality excipient offering and supports its strategy of bringing reliable, compliant and technically supported ingredients closer to customers.

He highlighted the combination of Indovinya’s EXCiPACT-certified manufacturing capabilities and regulatory foundation with Brenntag’s regional presence and customer proximity.

According to Rehné, the partnership positions the companies to support formulation development across Europe while generating additional opportunities in the excipient and nutraceutical markets.

Indovinya strengthens European pharmaceutical presence

Fabiana Citraro Marra, Global Director Marketing & Innovation at Indovinya, described the agreement as an important milestone in the company’s strategy to strengthen its position in European pharmaceutical and nutraceutical markets.

She said combining Brenntag’s distribution capabilities and customer reach with Indovinya’s Oxipurity® excipient portfolio will allow the companies to provide formulators with consistent product quality, greater regulatory confidence and reliable access to essential ingredients.

Partnership combines manufacturing expertise with regional distribution

Indovinya is a producer of non-ionic surfactants and contributes manufacturing and quality-management expertise to the partnership, while Brenntag provides an established distribution infrastructure across the relevant European markets.

The companies expect this combination to support customers throughout formulation and product-development activities while improving access to pharmaceutical-grade polyethylene glycols and polysorbates.

The agreement also reinforces Brenntag Pharma’s broader strategy of developing its specialist pharmaceutical ingredients portfolio through partnerships with established manufacturers.
