(IN BRIEF) Bouygues Construction has completed the acquisition of Vannoy Construction, a North Carolina-based general contractor with operations across North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia, strengthening the French group’s long-term position in the southeastern United States. Vannoy Construction generated €873 million in revenue in 2025 and operates in sectors including healthcare, education, manufacturing and retail, supported by a substantial order backlog. The transaction expands Bouygues Construction’s presence in a region benefiting from demographic and economic growth, investment in infrastructure and public facilities, industrial development and data centres. Vannoy will gain access to Bouygues Construction’s engineering expertise, innovation capabilities, experience in complex projects and international network, while retaining its existing management team, brand and company culture. Bouygues said the acquisition also creates potential synergies with Equans and Colas, which are already active in the region.

(PRESS RELEASE) PARIS, 2-Jul-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Bouygues Construction has completed the acquisition of Vannoy Construction, a leading general contractor operating in the southeastern United States.

The transaction was finalised on 30 June 2026 in Charlotte, North Carolina, and represents a further step in Bouygues Construction’s international growth strategy.

Vannoy Construction generated revenue of €873 million in 2025, equivalent to approximately $1.007 billion at the June 2026 EUR/USD reference exchange rate.

The company has developed a strong position in several high-potential construction markets, including healthcare, education, manufacturing and retail. It also has a substantial order backlog, reflecting ongoing client demand for its services.

Bouygues Construction said the acquisition strengthens its foothold in the United States and creates new opportunities for growth in the southeastern region.

The company already has active projects in Florida, Rhode Island and Washington, DC. These include Pier Sixty-Six, Palmer Lakes Logistics Center and Hamilton House in Florida, the Pawtucket tunnel project in Rhode Island and the Potomac River tunnel in Washington, DC.

The acquisition of Vannoy Construction expands Bouygues Construction’s presence in a market supported by population growth, economic development and continued investment in infrastructure, healthcare facilities, educational buildings, industrial projects and data centres.

Bouygues Construction said the deal may also create wider opportunities across the Bouygues group, as Equans and Colas already operate in the southeastern United States.

Vannoy Construction was founded in 1952 by Jim and Wilma Vannoy in Jefferson, North Carolina.

The company now operates from seven locations across North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia, serving public- and private-sector clients on large and complex construction projects.

Bouygues Construction said Vannoy will gain access to the resources of one of the world’s major construction groups, including engineering knowledge, innovation capabilities, international experience and expertise in delivering complex projects.

At the same time, the group said it intends to preserve the elements that have supported Vannoy Construction’s long-term success, including its family heritage, client relationships, operational approach and team culture.

Pierre-Éric Saint-André, Chief Executive Officer of Bouygues Construction, said the acquisition is an important milestone in the company’s efforts to strengthen its operations in the United States.

He said Vannoy Construction’s growth potential and established regional position could add further resilience to Bouygues Construction’s development strategy in mature markets.

Saint-André also highlighted what he described as a shared commitment to long-term development, trust-based relationships and collective project delivery.

Mark Vannoy, President of Vannoy Construction, said the acquisition marks a new stage in the company’s history while maintaining continuity for employees, customers and partners.

He said there will be no changes to Vannoy Construction’s management team, brand or culture, adding that Bouygues Construction’s support will help the business expand while preserving its established identity.

Bouygues Construction reported revenue of €10.6 billion in 2025 and continues to develop its activities across Europe, the Asia-Pacific region and North America.
