(PRESS RELEASE) CREWE, 17-Sep-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Bentley Motors has officially begun production of the fourth-generation Continental GT, a significant milestone coinciding with the 136th birthday of company founder, Walter Owen Bentley. The first model, finished in the striking launch color of Tourmaline Green, mirrors the vehicle featured in Bentley’s ‘Underwater Speed Record’ film. This car will initially be part of the UK Press Fleet before becoming a permanent addition to Bentley’s Heritage Collection, where it will be preserved alongside other iconic Bentleys from the brand’s storied history.

The new Continental GT Speed represents the pinnacle of Bentley’s craftsmanship and performance, featuring a powerful Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain delivering 782 PS and 1,000 Nm of torque. This model can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 3.1 seconds, with an electric-only range of 50 miles and a combined total range of 534 miles. Its handcrafted interior showcases Bentley’s signature luxury with three-dimensional leather textures, modern quilting, and dark chrome finishes, all designed by skilled artisans at the company’s Crewe factory.
