Bekaert Holds 7.75% of Outstanding Shares Following Share Buyback and Liquidity Agreement Transactions

(IN BRIEF) Bekaert, a world market and technology leader in steel wire transformation and coating technologies, announced an update on its Share Buyback Program and the Liquidity Agreement. The company had previously announced a €120 million program to buy back its own shares, which was split into four tranches of €30 million each. During the period from 19 January 2023 to 25 January 2023, Bekaert has bought 58,741 shares through the fourth tranche of the program. The purpose of the program is to reduce the issued share capital of the company. Additionally, Bekaert also announced that it has bought 6,500 shares and sold 1,900 shares through the liquidity agreement with the same period. Bekaert holds 4,576,279 own shares, or 7.75% of the total outstanding shares, as of 25 January 2023.

(PRESS RELEASE) ZWEVEGEM, 27-Jan-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — Bekaert (EBR: BEKB), a world market and technology leader in steel wire transformation and coating technologies, announced an update on its Share Buyback Program and the Liquidity Agreement. The period for the update is from January 19, 2023 to January 25, 2023.

Bekaert announced a €120 million program to buy back its own shares on February 25, 2022. The program was divided into four tranches of €30 million each, and all shares bought as part of the program will be canceled. The purpose of the program is to reduce the issued share capital of the company.

The fourth and final tranche of the program started on November 18, 2022. During the period from January 19, 2023 to January 25, 2023, Kepler Cheuvreux, on behalf of Bekaert, bought 58,741 shares.

In relation to the renewed liquidity agreement with Kepler Cheuvreux announced on September 2, 2022, Bekaert also announced that Kepler Cheuvreux, on behalf of Bekaert, has bought 6,500 shares during the period from January 19, 2023 to January 25, 2023 on Euronext Brussels. During the same period, Kepler Cheuvreux, on behalf of Bekaert, has sold 1,900 shares on Euronext Brussels.

The balance held by Bekaert under the liquidity agreement at the end of the period is 48,436 shares. On January 25, 2023, after the closing of the market, Bekaert holds 4,576,279 own shares, or 7.75% of the total number of outstanding shares.
