Bayer JobApp wins HR Excellence Award

Distinction for outstanding HR marketing activities

Leverkusen, 13-12-2012 — /europawire.eu/ — The Bayer JobApp has received the HR Excellence Award in the category “Careers Website.” This award is presented by the specialist magazine Human Resources Manager for outstanding HR projects. A jury of 20 HR experts from business and academia evaluated the projects using a range of criteria, including innovation, creativity, integration into corporate strategy, results, efficiency and sustainability.

Alongside the JobApp, the flash mob to congratulate Karlheinz Deitz on 40 years of service last year was singled out as an outstanding HR project. It gained a place in the top three in the category “Social Media Recruiting”. “The HR Excellence Award for the JobApp and the shortlisting are further confirmation of the excellence of our HR marketing activities,” comments Georg Müller, Head of HR Germany. “For the future of the company, it is tremendously important to secure the right talents for Bayer. The Bayer JobApp gives prospective employees access to information about the latest vacancies anytime, anywhere. They can enter a personal profile and request direct notification of new vacancies that meet their criteria. They can also forward interesting vacancies or recommend them to friends. The app is available for Android, Apple iPhone/iPad and Windows Mobile.

The Flash mob was a surprise created for Karlheinz Deitz, who has now worked for Bayer for more than 40 years. The event was filmed and published on YouTube (http://youtu.be/pTh3QDa3yy0) attracting more than 120,000 hits.
