Barclays Launches Cash ISA Transfer and Life Insurance Reward Offers Worth a Combined £750 to Support

(IN BRIEF) Barclays has launched two reward offers running from 8 September to 25 November 2026 that allow eligible customers to receive a combined total of up to £750 through Cash ISA transfers and new life insurance policies. Customers transferring at least £10,000 from an eligible non-Barclays ISA through the bank’s transfer-in service can receive between £50 and £600, with Barclays Premier Current Account holders transferring £100,000 or more qualifying for the maximum ISA reward. Separately, customers taking out Barclays Simple Life Insurance or Life Insurance for Mortgage Protection can receive £100 with a qualifying standard current account or up to £150 with a Premier Current Account, subject to minimum monthly premiums and maintaining the policy for at least 12 months. Barclays said the offers support its focus on financial resilience, pointing to its Financial Confidence Index finding that only 24% of people believe they have adequate life insurance cover. (PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 10-Sep-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Barclays has launched two new customer reward offers providing the opportunity to receive a combined £750, comprising up to £600 for eligible Cash ISA transfers and up to £150 for qualifying life insurance policies.

Both promotions run from 8 September to 25 November 2026 and are available subject to specific eligibility requirements.

Barclays said the offers are intended to encourage customers to strengthen their financial resilience through savings and protection. The bank’s latest Financial Confidence Index found that only 24% of people believe they have adequate life insurance cover, highlighting what Barclays sees as a significant gap in financial preparedness.

Savings and life insurance can both contribute to greater financial security, helping individuals build resources for future needs and provide support for loved ones in the event of death or terminal illness.

Cash ISA transfer customers can receive up to £600

Under the new Cash ISA transfer reward offer, customers transferring eligible ISA balances from another provider to Barclays through its ISA transfer-in service can receive between £50 and £600, depending on the amount transferred and the type of Barclays current account they hold.

Customers must hold or open either a Barclays current account or Barclays Premier Current Account and transfer at least £10,000 from a non-Barclays ISA into an eligible Barclays Fixed Term Single Access Cash ISA or Premier Triple Access Flexible Cash ISA.

The reward structure is:

The largest differential applies to transfers of £100,000 or more, where Premier Current Account customers can qualify for the maximum £600 reward compared with £200 for standard Barclays current account holders.

Multiple eligible ISA transfers can be combined

Customers can make either partial or full ISA transfers and can submit transfers from multiple eligible ISA accounts.

Where more than one eligible ISA is transferred, Barclays will calculate the reward according to the combined value of the qualifying balances once the final transfer has been completed.

Eligible Barclays Fixed Term Single Access and Premier Triple Access Flexible Cash ISAs permit ISA transfers within 30 days of account opening. Existing customers whose qualifying ISA has been open for more than 30 days can open another eligible account if they want to participate in the promotion.

Certain ISA products and transfer methods are excluded

The reward does not apply to balances transferred from Lifetime ISAs, Help to Buy ISAs or Innovative Finance ISAs.

Transfers involving the Barclays Instant Cash ISA, Barclays Reward ISA, Barclays Fixed Term Flexible ISAs or Barclays Investment ISA are also excluded.

Customers must use Barclays’ designated ISA transfer-in service. Transfers made outside that service, requests received before 8 September 2026, requests with a transfer date outside the promotional period, or requests made after the offer closes will not qualify.

Customers must also retain both the qualifying Barclays ISA and their Barclays current account or Premier Current Account until the reward is paid.

Eligible ISA rewards will be credited to the customer’s Barclays current account or Premier Current Account within 60 business days after the offer period ends.

Life insurance customers can receive up to £150

Barclays has also introduced a reward for customers taking out either Barclays Simple Life Insurance or Life Insurance for Mortgage Protection.

Customers holding a standard Barclays current account can receive £100 when taking out a qualifying new policy with a minimum monthly premium of £10.

Customers with a Barclays Premier Current Account can receive up to £150 when the minimum monthly premium is at least £12.50.

Premier customers taking out an eligible policy with a monthly premium of at least £10 but below £12.50 can qualify for the £100 reward, subject to the remaining eligibility criteria.

Life insurance policy must remain active for at least 12 months

To qualify, customers must submit their application during the promotional period and take out the policy within six months of applying.

Obtaining a quote alone does not count as an application. Customers must complete and submit the full product application, including the required health and other eligibility information.

Applicants must be UK residents aged 18 or older and must hold or open a Barclays current account or Premier Current Account.

The qualifying policy must begin within six months of the application date, remain in force for at least 12 months from its start date, and all required monthly premiums must be paid.

Customers who miss payments or cancel the policy within the first 12 months will not receive the reward.

Existing and recently cancelled Barclays policies are excluded

Customers are not eligible for the life insurance promotion if they already hold Barclays Simple Life Insurance or Life Insurance for Mortgage Protection.

Those who cancelled either of these policies during the 12 months before the start of the offer are also excluded.

The reward is limited to one payment per customer, meaning customers purchasing more than one qualifying policy can receive only one reward. This restriction also applies to joint policies.

Once all qualifying conditions have been satisfied, including retaining the policy for at least 12 months and making all monthly payments, the reward will be paid into the customer’s Barclays current account or Premier Current Account within three months.

Premier eligibility includes income or asset requirements

Eligibility for a Barclays Premier Current Account requires customers to have either a gross annual income of at least £75,000 or a combined balance of at least £100,000 in qualifying savings and investments held with Barclays.

Eligible investments include Investment ISAs, SIPPs and General Investment Accounts held through Direct Investing or Barclays Investment Solutions Limited.

Barclays links offers to financial resilience

Barclays said the combination of savings and life insurance promotions reflects its focus on helping customers improve their financial preparedness.

Its Financial Confidence Index indicates that relatively few people consider their current life insurance arrangements adequate, while savings products such as Cash ISAs can provide a tax-efficient mechanism for building financial reserves.

By running both incentives simultaneously, Barclays is offering existing and prospective customers rewards for moving eligible savings to the bank and establishing qualifying financial protection.

Both promotions are scheduled to close on 25 November 2026, although customers participating in the life insurance offer have up to six months from application to start their qualifying policy.

• The total amount transferred will be calculated when the transfer completes, or, where more than one ISA is transferred, when the last ISA transfer completes. If customers transfer more than one eligible ISA balance, the reward will be based on the total eligible balances transferred in.
• Transfers of balances held in Lifetime ISAs, Help to Buy ISAs, Innovative Finance ISAs, Barclays Instant Cash ISA, Barclays Reward ISA, Barclays Fixed Term Flexible ISAs or Barclays Investment ISA are excluded.
• Transfers made outside the ISA transfer-in service, transfer-in requests received before 8th September 2026, transfer-in requests with a transfer date outside the offer period, or transfer-in requests made after the offer period has ended are excluded.
• Customers will not be eligible if, before the reward is paid, they close the qualifying Barclays ISA or close their Barclays current account or Barclays Premier Current Account.
• The reward payment will be paid into the customer’s Barclays current account or Barclays Premier Current Account within 60 business days after the offer period has ended.

Life insurance reward offer

• The life insurance reward offer applies to customers who apply for either Barclays Simple Life Insurance or Life insurance for mortgage protection during the offer period and buy the policy within six months of submitting their application.
• Getting a quote on its own does not count as applying. Applying means completing and submitting a product application, including answering the health and other questions required as part of the application.
• Customers must be UK residents aged 18 years or older and hold or open a Barclays current account or Premier Current Account.
• Customers must start the policy within six months of submitting the application, hold the policy for at least twelve months after the policy start date, and make all monthly payments.
• Barclays current account customers must have a minimum monthly premium of at least £10 to receive the £100 reward.
• Premier Current Account customers must have a minimum monthly premium of at least £12.50 to receive the £150 reward. Premier Current Account customers with a minimum monthly premium of at least £10 but below £12.50 will receive the £100 reward as long as they meet all other eligibility requirements.
• Customers will not be eligible if they miss any payments or cancel the policy within twelve months after the policy start date, have an existing Barclays Simple Life Insurance or Life insurance for mortgage protection policy, or have cancelled one of these policies within 12 months of the offer starting.
• Rewards are limited to one per customer, so customers who purchase more than one policy will only be eligible for one reward, including joint policies.
• The life insurance reward will be paid into the customer’s Barclays current account or Premier Current Account within three months of meeting all eligibility criteria, including holding the product for a minimum of twelve months and making all monthly payments.
