Banque Internationale à Luxembourg SA will host the second BILjobdating day on Saturday June 27

Luxembourg, 24-6-2015 — /EuropaWire/ — Banque Internationale à Luxembourg SA (BIL) will host the second BILjobdating day on Saturday June 27, following the innovative speed recruiting approach. It will be attended by Mr Nicolas Schmit, Minister of Labour, Employment and Social and Solidarity Economy, along with representatives of the Employment Development Agency (Adem), the Centre for Documentation and Information on Higher Education (CEDIES) and the University of Luxembourg.

Last year’s inaugural event was hugely successful with nearly 500 candidates registered and some 25 key staff hired. It was the first time that a Luxembourg bank has organised a speed recruiting session. BIL is expecting to see another few hundred graduates and experienced candidates seeking a new job this year.

Part of the 2020 development strategy, this initiative reflects BIL’s determination to strengthen its status as a leading employer and socially responsible actor in the local market.

The jobdating concept is based on short interviews split into three parts. Candidates first see a human resources adviser individually. They can then meet specialists from the bank’s various business lines; if they make it past this stage, they will be interviewed by Karin Scholtes, Global Head of Human Resources at BIL, and a senior manager from the business line in question.

“This type of recruitment is particularly attractive for the bank as it allows us to get straight to the point with candidates. The concept appeals to young people as there are few formalities and no administrative complications; it concentrates on what is important in a pleasant atmosphere and is less formal than traditional interviews”, Karin Scholtes explains.

“It was a very new, worthwhile experience to be able to meet an employer without having to have my CV picked from the masses”. I was able to talk about my skills and motivation more easily than I would in a traditional recruitment process”, said Sylvia Wochner, 2014 candidate and now Relationship Manager at BIL’s Esch Belval branch.

Candidates wishing to attend this event have until June 25 to register at https://www.bil.com/lp/2015/jobdating/index-fr.html
