Banco de Portugal released the 2012 Enterprise and Sector Tables with economic and financial indicators on non-financial corporations

Lisbon, Portugal, 06-12-2013 — /EuropaWire/ — Banco de Portugal makes available today the Enterprise and Sector Tables for the year 2012, with economic and financial indicators on non-financial corporations from the Central Balance Sheet database based on data submitted under the Simplified Corporate Information (Portuguese acronym: IES).

Besides the usual disclosure in the multidimensional component of BPStat | Statistics online, Sector Tables with aggregated data by economic activity and size class are now made available through a new Internet tool, in http://www.bportugal.pt/en-US/ServicosaoPublico/CentraldeBalancos/Pages/QuadrosdaEmpresaedoSetor.aspx

Enterprise and Sector Tables, with information about each enterprise and the aggregate (sector of economic activity/size class) to which it belongs, can be found in the Corporate Area (only available in Portuguese), in the institutional website of Banco de Portugal.

Some indicators about the Enterprise and Sector Tables for 2012

In this first release of 2012 data, almost 360,000 Enterprise and Sector Tables are made available, which involves more than 90% of non-financial corporations in Portugal.

Sector Tables include 4.7 thousand different aggregates (combinations of economic activity and size class), with a coverage rate above 90% in most cases. Out of this total, a very significant number (2 thousand) refers to the highest level of detail of CAE Rev.3 (5-digit).

For the period 2009-2012 is provided information for more than 5.7 thousand different aggregates, existing data, in every year, for about 4.1 thousand aggregates.
