Austrian Airlines appoints Andreas Zerlauth as Head of Controlling

  • Zerlauth leaves Eurowings for Austrian Airlines
  • The business administration graduate from Vorarlberg starts work in September

VIENNA, 04-Apr-2017 — /EuropaWire/ — As of September 2017, Andreas Zerlauth, age 46, will manage the controlling activities of Austrian Airlines in his new position as “Head of Controlling”. The business administration graduate will succeed Stefan Hafenscher, who will assume new professional challenges outside of the airline industry. Andreas Zerlauth is currently Head of IT at the Eurowings Group in Cologne.

Andreas Zerlauth studied and taught at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. His career began in 1999 as Head of Crew Planning & Crew Control for Lauda Air. In 2002 he joined Austrian Airlines, initially as Head of Production Planning & Controlling. Following the fusion of Lauda Air and Austrian Airlines, he once again assumed responsibility for Crew Planning & Crew Control. Other career steps included management positions in network planning and human resources strategy. In 2012, he was appointed to serve as Head of IT for Austrian Airlines until he moved to Eurowings in October 2016. Born in Bludenz, Zerlauth lives in Vienna with his wife and two children.
