ANDRITZ to Implement NOx Reduction System for TPC Group’s Power Boiler in Houston

(IN BRIEF) International technology group ANDRITZ has secured an order from TPC Group to install a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system aimed at reducing nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions at the power boiler located in Houston, TX, USA. TPC Group’s decision to collaborate with ANDRITZ stems from the latter’s track record of successful NOx abatement projects worldwide. The SCR system, designed for maximum NOx removal efficiencies, will be integrated into an existing natural gas-fired boiler, with additional features to reduce CO emissions during start-up or shutdown. Scheduled for operation by July 2024, the system includes provision for staff training to ensure smooth integration. This initiative underscores ANDRITZ’s expertise in providing comprehensive flue gas treatment solutions and TPC Group’s commitment to meeting stringent emission standards while enhancing production capacity.

(PRESS RELEASE) GRAZ, 21-Feb-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — International technology group ANDRITZ has received an order from TPC Group to supply a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system for the abatement of nitrogen oxides (NOx) at the power boiler in Houston, TX, USA.
