(PRESS RELEASE) GRAZ, 16-Apr-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — International technology group ANDRITZ has been selected by Alwadi Poultry Farms Company, one of Saudi Arabia’s oldest and most respected poultry producers, to supply a high-capacity feed mill in Riyadh Province. This major contract marks a significant expansion for ANDRITZ in the feed and biofuel sector across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.

Set to begin operations in the first half of 2026, the new feed mill will have a total production capacity of 90 tons per hour, divided between two poultry feed lines (60 TPH) and one ruminant feed line (30 TPH). ANDRITZ will deliver a turnkey solution covering every stage from raw material intake to the finished product. The equipment lineup includes high-efficiency hammer mills, mixers, pellet mills, and crumblers, sourced from ANDRITZ’s European manufacturing facilities. The package also encompasses installation supervision, commissioning, and local after-sales service.

Alwadi Poultry Farms, established in 1975, operates across the full poultry production chain—from breeding to processing—and has been a cornerstone of Saudi Arabia’s poultry industry. This new facility aligns with the company’s strategy to increase feed quality, strengthen market position, and support national food security objectives under Saudi Vision 2030.

Khalid M. Al-Sanie, General Manager of Alwadi Poultry Farms Company, highlighted the rigorous internal evaluation that led to the selection of ANDRITZ, citing the company’s superior technical proposal, product quality, and maintainability. “Our decision reflects a shared commitment to excellence and innovation,” he said.

Michael Lierau, Senior Vice President of ANDRITZ Feed & Biofuel, stated, “This project with Alwadi marks another milestone for us in the MEA region. We are proud to support Saudi Arabia’s ambitions for self-sufficiency in poultry production with a facility that sets a new regional benchmark in feed processing technology.”

The feed mill represents a new chapter in Saudi Arabia’s evolving agricultural landscape, ensuring robust, high-performance nutrition solutions for poultry and livestock, and underscoring ANDRITZ’s role as a trusted partner for complete feed plant solutions.
