An impressive total of 22 red dot award-winning product designs for Philips

Eindhoven, The Netherlands, 21-3-2013 — /europawire.eu/ — Royal Philips Electronics (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHI) is proud to announce its 22 winners of the prestigious ‘red dot award: product design 2013’

The red dot jury awarded the winning designs from Philips’ Consumer Lifestyle, Lighting and Healthcare sectors. See the full list of winners.

Topping the winners’ list was the Philips Wake-up Light which earned a coveted‘red dot: best of the best’. Recognized for the most outstanding products of a category, the accolade befits the popular Wake-Up Light that was redesigned with the utmost concern for form and function.

Ivo De Mas, Senior Consumer Marketing Manager Wake-up Light: “I am delighted that we have created a winning product that offers our customers an excellent experience, through both its functional benefits and its outstanding design.” The Wake-up Light also won an iF product design award 2013 and Recognition Good Industrial Design (GIO) 2012.

With more than 4,600 submissions from some 54 countries, the international ‘red dot design award’ is one of the largest and most renowned design competitions. The red dot jury is comprised of design experts of international repute, whose background allows them to consciously assess the special intercultural aspects of design.
