Americas Technology Center to Support FUCHS Customers in Advanced Lubrication Applications

(IN BRIEF) FUCHS Group has opened its new Americas Technology Center in Taunton, Massachusetts, a 55,000-square-foot research and development facility designed to strengthen the company’s regional capabilities in advanced lubrication, specialty solutions and technical customer support. The facility will support lubrication solutions for demanding and future-oriented applications, including high-load industrial gearboxes, metalworking, semiconductor chip manufacturing and space exploration. The new facility officially opened on 10 August 2026.

The 55,000-square-foot research and development centre will serve as a regional hub for advanced lubrication technologies and specialty solutions across the Americas.

FUCHS said the investment is designed to support closer customer collaboration, application-driven innovation and manufacturing competitiveness in the region.

The Taunton site will focus on developing lubrication solutions for demanding industrial applications and future-oriented technologies.

These include high-load industrial gearboxes, metalworking operations, semiconductor chip manufacturing and space exploration applications.

Megan O’Meara, President and CEO of FUCHS Lubricants Co., said customers are under continuous pressure to improve performance, increase efficiency and adapt to change.

She said the new Technology Center will allow FUCHS to work more closely with customers, apply its expertise to their specific challenges and help them develop solutions that deliver measurable results.

O’Meara added that the company’s goal is to help its customers succeed.

As part of FUCHS’ global innovation network, the Americas Technology Center will connect local expertise with scientists, engineers and customer-facing teams around the world.

The facility is expected to accelerate the development and commercialisation of innovative lubrication solutions while strengthening customer collaboration throughout the Americas.

Dr Timo Reister, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board at FUCHS SE, said the new Technology Center is more than a facility.

He described it as a strategic extension of the company’s global research and development network and an integral part of the FUCHS100 strategy.

Reister said the centre will enable FUCHS to combine knowledge from across the world, accelerate innovation and deliver meaningful value for customers.

Mathieu Boulandet, Member of the Executive Board and Chief Technology Officer of FUCHS SE, said innovation depends on the ability to understand complex challenges, generate new knowledge and validate solutions with scientific precision.

Through the opening of the Americas Technology Center, FUCHS is expanding its technical capabilities in one of its key regional markets while reinforcing its global approach to research, customer support and specialised lubrication solutions.
