Alstom Grid organized Technical Seminar in Barcelona on new substation automation solutions

28-5-2013 — /europawire.eu/ — On 14 May, Alstom Grid organized a new Technical Seminar on new substation automation solutions aimed at small and medium sized electricity companies in the Catalonia area. This event is part of a series of seminars that Alstom Grid is organising throughout Spain in order to present the most innovative solutions for substation automation in protection, control and cyber security matters. These solutions are designed to meet the current challenges in terms of energy and environment. 

During the seminar, which was held on the utility company Estabanell Energía’s facilities, Alstom presented the Digital Control System DS Agile, the new intelligent electronic protection, control and monitoring devices MiCOM PX40 y MICOM P40 Agile, and the range of measuring devices Bitronics. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about this technology in-depth and understand how this equipment works.

Alstom collaborates with ASEME and exchanges opinions with customers

On this occasion, Alstom collaborated with ASEME, an association based in Barcelona that represents the main electricity distribution companies at national level. The event was a success and saw the participation of more than 9 utility companies from the Catalonian area, such as Estabanell Energia, Electracaldense, Eléctrica de Centelles, Lersa Electricitat, Vaquer Electricitat, Peusa, Bassols Energía, Electracardener and Agrienergia.

For Alstom these seminars are a great opportunity to exchange different opinions with customers and understand their needs. According to the feedback received from the participants, these events are an excellent way of learning more about Alstom’s technology, products and solutions for substation protection and control.
