(PRESS RELEASE) SAINT-OUEN-SUR-SEINE, 6-Jun-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Alstom, a global leader in smart and sustainable mobility, has entered into two key service agreements with Akiem, a European rail vehicle leasing company, to enhance the servicing of Traxx locomotives. These contracts further strengthen the longstanding collaboration between the two companies.

The first agreement is a Master Service Agreement that outlines the supply of spare parts for 116 Traxx locomotives within Akiem’s fleet. This five-year contract will initially cover approximately 200 different spare parts per year, with the flexibility to adjust the types and quantities based on regular joint reviews between Alstom and Akiem.

The second agreement focuses on providing support for on-board signalling technology manufactured by Alstom and installed on Akiem’s Traxx locomotives. This contract includes both remote and on-site support, as well as repair work on defective components and the short-term replacement of key faulty parts.

With the signing of these agreements, Alstom and Akiem are taking the next step in their successful partnership. The services outlined in these contracts are vital for ensuring the continued smooth operation of Akiem’s Traxx fleet, focusing on both the rolling stock and on-board signalling technology. These improvements aim to increase the availability, reliability, and safety of the locomotives, enhancing customer satisfaction.
