(IN BRIEF) Allianz Group and Allianz Turkey have invested over €2 million in a new dormitory project in collaboration with the Koruncuk Foundation. Located in Istanbul, the dormitory will provide a safe and nurturing environment for girls in need, offering them access to education, sociocultural activities, and counseling. Allianz has supported the Koruncuk Foundation since 2016 and continues to provide scholarships and professional development programs to help girls become independent and successful.

(PRESS RELEASE) MUNICH, 8-May-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Allianz Group, in collaboration with Allianz Turkey, has made a significant commitment to empowering girls through education by investing over €2 million in a new dormitory project in partnership with the Koruncuk Foundation. This initiative aims to increase the foundation’s capacity and provide a safe, supportive environment for more girls in need of assistance.

The new dormitory, located in Arnavutköy, Istanbul, will span 2,230 square meters and include living spaces, social and recreational areas, a library, and a dining hall. This facility will offer comprehensive support to girls, including access to education, sociocultural activities, and counseling services, all designed to promote their development and well-being.

Tolga Gürkan, CEO of Allianz Turkey, highlighted the company’s commitment to sustainable development and the importance of providing equal educational opportunities. Speaking at the project’s opening ceremony, attended by local officials, he emphasized that Allianz has been supporting the Koruncuk Foundation since 2016 and is deeply committed to preparing future generations through quality education.

In addition to this new dormitory, Allianz Turkey has been providing scholarships for university education to girls supported by the Koruncuk Foundation and offers various programs to help them gain professional skills. These initiatives include mentoring, vocational training, and employment opportunities designed to help the girls become more independent and successful in their careers.
