Airbus: A320neo Fleet rises to 270 aircraft

TOULOUSE, 29-Dec-2017 — /EuropaWire/ — Leading aircraft lessor AerCap holdings N.V. (“AerCap”) (NYSE: AER) has upped its A320neo portfolio after signing a firm agreement to buy 50 additional aircraft. This transaction brings AerCap’s firm orders for the A320neo Family aircraft to a total of 270, owned and on order.

We have seen significant market appetite for these aircraft from our diverse customer base. The A320neo Family incorporates the very latest technologies including new generation engines and Sharklets, which together deliver at least 15 percent fuel savings at delivery and 20 percent by 2020. With more than 5,400 orders received from 97 customers, the A320neo Family has captured nearly 60 percent share of the market.
