Agrobank Secures EUR 200 Million Syndicated Financing Arranged by KfW IPEX-Bank

(IN BRIEF) KfW IPEX-Bank has arranged a syndicated EUR 200 million Term Loan Facility for state-owned Uzbek Agrobank, marking the second such facility between the two institutions. The financing will support new and existing exports from Europe to eligible corporate clients in Uzbekistan, while also enabling direct financing or reimbursement of loans for projects in areas such as digitalisation, green technologies and water projects. KfW IPEX-Bank is acting as Sole Bookrunner, Facility Agent and Paying Agent, and brought Commerzbank, DZ Bank, Kommunalkredit Austria, London Forfaiting Company Limited and Nexent Bank into the facility during syndication. The transaction highlights KfW IPEX-Bank’s role in emerging markets, where it provides banks with financing for trade transactions involving European companies and medium- to long-term project refinancing.

(PRESS RELEASE) FRANKFURT, 13-Aug-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — KfW IPEX-Bank has arranged a syndicated Term Loan Facility for Agrobank, the state-owned Uzbek bank, with a total volume of EUR 200 million.

The financing will be used for several purposes, including the direct financing of new European exports to eligible corporate clients in Uzbekistan.

It may also be used to refinance existing exports from Europe to eligible Uzbek corporates.

In addition, the facility can directly finance or reimburse loans to eligible companies active in areas including digitalisation and green technologies.

The eligible uses also include financing related to water projects.

The transaction marks KfW IPEX-Bank’s second term loan facility for Agrobank.

For the syndicated financing, KfW IPEX-Bank is acting as Sole Bookrunner, Facility Agent and Paying Agent.

During the syndication process, KfW IPEX-Bank brought several financial institutions into the facility.

The participating institutions include Commerzbank, DZ Bank, Kommunalkredit Austria, London Forfaiting Company Limited and Nexent Bank.

KfW IPEX-Bank said the transaction reflects its activities in emerging markets.

As part of these activities, the bank provides financing to banks for trade transactions involving European companies.

It also supports medium- and long-term refinancing for projects.

Through the new facility, Agrobank will gain access to financing that can support trade, investment, digitalisation and green technology-related lending in Uzbekistan.

The transaction also strengthens financial links between European exporters and eligible corporate borrowers in the Uzbek market.
