AF Gruppen Chosen for Detailed Design and Construction of E6 Roterud – Storhove Highway Project

(IN BRIEF) AF Gruppen has been selected by Nye Veier to handle the detailed design and construction of the 23-kilometer E6 Roterud – Storhove highway project, following an earlier selection for the conceptualization phase in 2020. This project, which will span from Roterud in Gjøvik to Storhove near Lillehammer, focuses on balancing environmental concerns with the need for a safe, efficient road. AF Gruppen has worked closely with Nye Veier and consultant Norconsult on the development of the road, particularly in the sensitive Lågen delta area. The project is valued at NOK 6,350 million, with construction set to start soon and completion scheduled for summer 2030.

(PRESS RELEASE) OSLO, 13-Feb-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — AF Gruppen has been chosen by Nye Veier to carry out the detailed design and construction of the new E6 Roterud – Storhove project, following the initial selection for the conceptualization phase in January 2020. This decision is pending the completion of the intention announcement in accordance with public procurement regulations.

The project involves constructing a 23-kilometer, four-lane highway stretching from Roterud in Gjøvik to Storhove, near Lillehammer. Since early 2020, AF Gruppen has worked closely with Nye Veier and consultant Norconsult in developing and regulating this important infrastructure project. A key focus has been integrating environmental considerations with the need for a safe and efficient road, particularly in the sensitive area around the Lågen delta.
