Accenture’s cloud-supporting services now available to public sector organizations through UK government’s Cloudstore platform

More than 50 services offered on Cloudstore, digital capabilities available to help design and enhance public services

London, UK, 4-2-2014 — /EuropaWire/ — Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has qualified as an approved vendor to offer the U.K. Government its portfolio of services under G-Cloud 4 (G4) procurement vehicle and the Digital Services Framework. Accenture’s cloud-supporting services are now available to public sector organizations through the central government’s flagship Cloudstore platform.

Accenture also has secured a spot on the Digital Services Framework, enabling public sector organizations access to agile and digital capabilities to help design and build public services.

G4 is the fourth supplier framework available to the public sector to procure services including: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platforms as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and other Specialist Cloud Services.

Cloudstore is the government-hosted, online catalogue from which the public sector can buy cloud services in a faster, more flexible way, shortening the procurement cycle in many cases from months to weeks or even days.

Accenture is offering Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Specialist Cloud Services (SCS) on Cloudstore. Accenture’s portfolio of cloud services includes specific solutions for police, health and revenue as well as cloud-specific services.

”G4 offers the public sector a simple, cost-effective and efficient way to leverage our cloud services,” said Mark Lyons, Accenture’s U.K. and Ireland managing director for Health & Public Service. “Accenture’s portfolio of 53 cloud services is available through the Cloudstore, and our digital capabilities are available quickly through the new Digital Services Framework. Through these two vehicles public sector organizations now have much easier access to our innovative capabilities which they can rapidly deploy. Whatever the challenge, I am confident we can help public sector organizations benefit from the government’s Cloud First and digital by default principles.”
