Orange Silicon Valley joins the Open Compute Project

Building cost effective Cloud and Big Data infrastructure through open source hardware.

San Francisco, Calif., 31-1-2013 — /europawire.eu/ — Orange Silicon Valley, France Telecom-Orange’s development center in San Francisco, has joined the Open Compute Project (OCP) to benefit from the community developing around open source systems like those used extensively by Facebook.

Recently, Orange Silicon Valley released the results of a high IOPS extreme computing benchmark, and also published the components and referenced the partners used to achieve these impressive results. These types of configurations should be interesting for members of the OCP community and is an example of how Orange is contributing to the development of the I.T. sector.
