Aurubis AG CFO Erwin Faust Terminates Contract for Health Reasons

HAMBURG, 12-Jun-2017 — /EuropaWire/ — It is with great regret that the Aurubis AG Supervisory Board has terminated CFO Erwin Faust’s contract as of June 30, 2017 for health reasons.

“The Supervisory Board deeply regrets Mr. Faust’s departure. He has done excel-lent work, in particular in leading and developing the financial division. We fully understand that Mr. Faust wishes to continue to concentrate entirely on his convalescence”, said Professor Jörg Fuhrmann, Chairman of the Aurubis Supervisory Board. “We would like to thank Mr. Faust for his dedicated efforts, and we wish him a full recovery and all the very best for the future,” said Professor Fuhrmann.

Erwin Faust became CFO of Aurubis AG in October 1, 2008. From November 2015 to June 2016 he was also the acting board spokesperson. Erwin Faust was originally appointed until September 30, 2018.

The company intends to appoint a new CFO by the end of the 2017 calendar year. Board Chairman Jürgen Schachler and Board Member Dr. Stefan Boel took over Erwin Faust’s functions when he fell ill in September 2016.
