(PRESS RELEASE) MADRID, 13-Oct-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Sellafield Ltd has appointed HOCHTIEF (UK) Construction as one of three delivery partners in a major framework valued at up to £2.9 billion, following a rigorous competitive procurement process. Under the agreement, HOCHTIEF will manage a nuclear and civil engineering framework worth as much as £595 million (EUR 685 million) as part of the Infrastructure Delivery Partnership (IDP) programme at the Sellafield nuclear site in Cumbria.

The partnership, set to run for an initial nine years with an option to extend for another six, focuses on the design, development, and implementation of essential civil infrastructure required to sustain nuclear operations and accelerate decommissioning. Working alongside Sellafield and other strategic partners, HOCHTIEF will contribute to modernising one of the UK’s most critical industrial sites while supporting long-term environmental and social objectives.
