Quebec headquarters of Alstom launches recruitment drive amid major contracts in Canada and the US

(IN BRIEF) Alstom has announced the recruitment of more than 150 new employees at its Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville headquarters and train development site in Quebec, supporting growth in North America. The company will hold a career event on September 25, 2025, to attract candidates in engineering, procurement, project management, finance, IT, and digitalization. The site plays a central role in major contracts, including New York’s M9-A commuter rail cars, New Jersey Transit’s 200 new cars, the Quebec City tramway, and Toronto’s subway train project. Leaders Marie Couillard and Michael Keroullé highlighted the site’s importance as a hub of innovation and regional economic strength. Currently employing 940 people, Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville has been Alstom’s Americas headquarters since 2021 and continues to expand its influence across the continent.

The new roles span key areas such as engineering, procurement, project management, finance, IT, and digitalization, reinforcing the site’s strategic role in Alstom’s expanding operations across North America.

To accelerate recruitment, the company will host a career event at its Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville location, 1101 Parent Street, on September 25, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event aims to connect with skilled candidates eager to contribute to landmark transportation projects currently underway in Canada and the United States.

The Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville site is central to several high-profile contracts Alstom has recently secured. These include the design of the new M9-A commuter rail cars for New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the additional 200 commuter rail cars ordered by New Jersey Transit, and preparations for upcoming Canadian projects such as the Quebec City tramway and Toronto’s new subway trains.

With its unique expertise, it contributes to nearly all of Alstom’s major contracts in North America, making it a cornerstone of the company’s regional success.
