(IN BRIEF) The Lindner Group has expanded its Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), adding new verifications for partition and cleanroom systems, updated declarations for raised floor and LIGNA wood-based products, and the first EPD for its LinCrete glass fibre concrete. Verified by the German Institute for Construction and Environment (IBU e.V.), the new EPDs emphasize recyclability, reuse, and circular design. Notably, updated floor system EPDs now include realistic end-of-life scenarios that allow more accurate carbon footprint calculations, with potential savings of up to 81 percent. The LOOP aurum and LOOP prime floors were also among the first to be assessed under a new IBU framework for ReUse products. With these additions, Lindner strengthens its commitment to sustainable, transparent construction and provides planners with critical data for certifications and life cycle assessments.

(PRESS RELEASE) ARNSTORF, 24-Sep-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — The Lindner Group has broadened its portfolio of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), further embedding sustainability and transparency into its product range. For the first time, the company’s partition and cleanroom systems have been reviewed and verified by the German Institute for Construction and Environment (IBU e.V.), underscoring Lindner’s role as a pioneer in responsible construction practices.

In the wall systems category, newly published EPDs cover the glazed partition systems Lindner Life Stereo 125, Life Contour 126, and Life Freeze 137. These high-quality solutions have undergone ecological assessments based on recognized international standards, ensuring clear and transparent data for planners and builders. Both Life Stereo 125 and Life Contour 126 also reflect Lindner’s circular design philosophy, with systems designed for non-destructive disassembly, reuse, and refurbishment. Their recyclable core components—steel, glass, and aluminum—enhance their environmental value.

Cleanroom products are included in Lindner’s verified EPD portfolio for the first time. The Multiclean LVT, CLVT, and CPH systems, along with the associated 437 and 448 glazing elements, combine stringent hygiene and functional requirements with a sustainable design approach that enables disassembly, material reuse, and recycling.

Reimagining raised floor sustainability
The EPD program also extends to updated declarations for Lindner’s FLOOR and more® raised floor systems and LIGNA wood-based panels. These updates now incorporate diverse end-of-life scenarios such as take-back and internal recycling for FLOOR and more® as well as take-back options for LIGNA. By integrating these real-world scenarios, building life cycle assessors can calculate more accurate carbon footprints, identifying potential CO₂ reductions of up to 81 percent. Notably, the LOOP aurum and LOOP prime raised floor systems are among the first products to be verified under a new Product Category Rules (PCR) standard created by the IBU for ReUse products.

LinCrete EPD marks progress in low-carbon concrete innovation
Another important step is the publication of the EPD for LinCrete, Lindner’s glass fibre reinforced concrete solution. As a cement-based material, LinCrete posed unique challenges for ecological assessment, yet its modular precast design reduces offcuts, enables closed-loop reuse in manufacturing, and minimizes on-site installation waste. With applications spanning facades, ceilings, furniture, and even urban greenery systems, LinCrete demonstrates how durability and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.

A foundation for transparent construction
By expanding its portfolio of EPDs, Lindner provides the construction industry with reliable, detailed insights into product life cycle impacts. These verified declarations not only support sustainability certifications such as DGNB, LEED, and BREEAM but also serve as critical tools for comprehensive building life cycle assessments. With these efforts, Lindner continues to drive forward environmentally responsible building practices while enabling clients to plan with confidence and transparency.
