(PRESS RELEASE) FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, 6-Sep-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — ZF will present a wide-ranging portfolio of innovations at Busworld 2025 in Brussels (October 4–9), demonstrating how its technologies are shaping the future of mobility by making buses and coaches more efficient, safer, and digitally intelligent. The global supplier will highlight its system-wide solutions spanning electric driveline, axle, braking, suspension, auxiliary, and digital technologies.

At the core of its mobility offering, ZF will debut the CeTrax 2 dual central electric drive, capable of delivering 380 kW of continuous power, designed to meet the demands of intercity and long-distance transport while reducing emissions. Complementing the driveline, ZF will showcase its newly developed axle systems and mBSP XBS intelligent braking solutions, along with technologies to reduce brake particle emissions.

Supporting electrification further, ZF is unveiling an intelligent Air Supply Unit, developed on its advanced e-comp Scroll compression system, which provides quieter and more energy-efficient air management. The company will also present its next-generation HVAC climate control system and an updated Continuous Damping Control (CDC Skyhook) suspension system with OptiRide ECAS pneumatic suspension for improved comfort and ride stability.

Safety takes center stage with ZF’s latest ADAS portfolio, designed to support compliance with new EU General Safety Regulation (GSR II) requirements. The modular suite offers advanced driver assistance systems tailored for complex urban and intercity environments, enhancing protection for passengers and vulnerable road users.

On the digital front, ZF is rolling out solutions to optimize fleet operations, reduce downtime, and ensure cybersecurity compliance. ZF Bus Connect, its telematics and fleet monitoring platform, enables operators to maximize efficiency and safety through real-time health data, remote diagnostics, and predictive maintenance. Additionally, ZF will introduce its Software Update Management Solution (SUMS) suite, which ensures secure over-the-air updates in line with global vehicle software management regulations.

Fabian Schlegel, Senior Vice President and Head of EMEA Region within ZF’s Commercial Vehicle Division, emphasized: “As a global leader in bus and coach technologies, ZF delivers practical innovation that makes mobility safer, smarter, and more sustainable. By integrating driveline, safety, chassis, and digital solutions, we are helping OEMs and operators optimize Total Cost of Ownership while creating lasting value across the vehicle lifecycle.”

ZF will welcome visitors to booth #537 in Hall 5 at Busworld 2025.
