The deal highlights Sandvik’s commitment to supporting the expansion of the Kalahari Copper Belt’s leading mining operation while strengthening its collaboration with JCHX.

(PRESS RELEASE) STOCKHOLM, 21-Aug-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Sandvik has secured a significant order worth approximately SEK 450 million from JCHX Mining Management Co., Ltd., a global mining contractor based in China, for advanced underground mining equipment to be deployed at the Khoemacau Copper Mine (KCM) in Botswana. The order, booked in the third quarter of 2025, underscores Sandvik’s growing role in supplying high-performance machinery and digital mining solutions to major international operations.

The agreement covers a comprehensive fleet of loaders, trucks, and drilling machines, complemented by Sandvik’s cutting-edge digital monitoring technologies, including its Remote Monitoring Service. This integration is designed to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and long-term productivity for the expanding Khoemacau mine.

Delivery of the equipment is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2025, with installations continuing until the second quarter of 2026. Located in the Kalahari Copper Belt, Khoemacau is one of Botswana’s leading underground copper mining operations, currently undergoing extensive expansion to boost output and meet growing demand.
