VINCI Energies to Acquire Zimmer & Hälbig, Bolstering High‑Tech HVAC‑R Capabilities Across Germany

(IN BRIEF) VINCI Energies has signed a deal—subject to antitrust approval—to acquire Zimmer & Hälbig, a Bielefeld‑based specialist in HVAC‑R solutions for sensitive environments such as hospitals, laboratories, industrial sites, clean rooms and data centres. Founded in 1974, Zimmer & Hälbig reported €96 million in 2024 revenue across seven German locations and 310 employees. Upon completion, it will join VINCI Energies Building Solutions’ 150‑unit network in Germany, enhancing the group’s multi‑technical service offerings. VINCI Energies operates across Infrastructure, Industry, Building Solutions and ICT with 16,600 staff in 385 sites nationwide. (PRESS RELEASE) NANTERRE, 29-Jul-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — VINCI Energies has reached an agreement—pending clearance from German competition authorities—to bring Zimmer & Hälbig into its fold. Based in Bielefeld in North Rhine‑Westphalia, Zimmer & Hälbig boasts specialist capabilities in designing, engineering, installing and maintaining complex HVAC‑R systems. Their expertise spans critical environments such as hospitals, laboratories, industrial plants, clean rooms and data centres.

Established in 1974, Zimmer & Hälbig achieved €96 million in revenue during 2024, operating from seven sites across Germany (Bielefeld, Hanau, Hanover, Cologne, Leipzig, Osnabrück and Tuttlingen) and employing 310 professionals. Once the transaction is finalised, the company will join VINCI Energies Building Solutions’ German network of 150 business units, enriching its multi‑technical building services portfolio and broadening customer offerings.

In Germany, VINCI Energies already serves clients through four divisions—Infrastructure, Industry, Building Solutions and ICT—and maintains 385 locations with 16,600 staff. In 2024, the broader VINCI Group recorded nearly €5.6 billion in local turnover, marking Germany as its second‑largest market.
