MAHLE Opens Global Training Hub in Stuttgart with Hands‑On and Online Courses for Aftermarket Professionals

(IN BRIEF) MAHLE Lifecycle and Mobility has launched a new Global Training Center in Stuttgart and revamped its training infrastructure to meet growing educational needs in the aftermarket. The 1,300 m² facility features five hands‑on workshop bays and accommodates up to fifteen participants per session. Complementing the center is an online portal that offers live virtual classes, e‑learning modules, and over 120 technical resources across MAHLE’s spare‑parts and equipment range. Positioned near MAHLE’s battery development campus, the initiative addresses emerging service demands for electric and hybrid vehicles. Training is available in multiple languages, with more to be added.

(PRESS RELEASE) STUTTGART, 17-Jul-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — MAHLE Lifecycle and Mobility is enhancing and reorganizing its educational offerings for distributors, repair shops, and fleet managers. “The demand for advanced training among workshop technicians and wholesale personnel continues to grow,” explains Philipp Grosse Kleimann, Managing Director and Head of MAHLE Lifecycle and Mobility. “By opening our new Global Training Center in Stuttgart, we’ve laid the foundation for rolling out this sophisticated training framework globally.” The Stuttgart facility boasts over 1,300 m² of dedicated learning space, five fully outfitted workshop bays, and room to instruct up to fifteen participants simultaneously under real‑world conditions. MAHLE plans to replicate this model in other key markets—France and Italy are next in line.

Central to this revamped structure is the MAHLE training portal, an online gateway where users can enroll in courses and tap into technical resources spanning MAHLE’s entire aftermarket lineup—from spare parts to workshop tools. “We’re not just a parts and equipment supplier,” adds Grosse Kleimann. “We partner with workshops, offering a complete suite of consulting, service, and educational solutions.”

With the rise of alternative powertrains—battery‑electric and hybrid vehicles—independent workshops face new responsibilities, including diagnostics, cooling‑system upkeep, and battery servicing. That’s why MAHLE positioned its Stuttgart center adjacent to the company’s traction‑battery development and testing hub. “Leveraging our in‑house expertise lets us anticipate shifts in the aftermarket,” says Felix‑Matthias Walter, Director of Global Service Solutions. “Being close to workshops and distributors helps us pinpoint where training is most needed.”

The upgraded portal caters to every skill level, offering free live online classes with expert instructors, concise e‑learning modules for foundational or specialist topics, and straightforward booking for in‑person sessions. Users also gain instant access to over 120 technical documents—damage diagnostics guides, oil‑capacity tables, and more—in German, English, Polish, and Portuguese, with additional languages forthcoming.
