Husqvarna Group Honored Again by TIME and Statista as One of 2025’s Top Global Sustainability Leaders

(IN BRIEF) Husqvarna Group has been named one of the “World’s Most Sustainable Companies” for the second consecutive year by TIME and Statista, placing among the top Swedish firms in the 2025 edition. Out of an initial pool of 5,000 leading companies, the selection process filters out non-sustainable industries, evaluates external sustainability ratings and pledges, examines ESG disclosure transparency, and scores firms on emissions intensity, renewable energy usage, gender diversity, and workforce well-being. Calle Medin, Husqvarna’s Head of Sustainability, emphasizes that sustainability is a continual effort. Since 2015, the company has reduced GHG emissions by more than half while driving profitable growth.

(PRESS RELEASE) STOCKHOLM, 1-Jul-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — For the second year running, Husqvarna Group has earned a spot on TIME and Statista’s prestigious “World’s Most Sustainable Companies” list, once again ranking among the leading Swedish firms in the 2025 global survey.

This annual index, crafted by TIME in partnership with Statista, evaluates over 5,000 of the world’s largest and most influential businesses through a meticulous four-step process. Companies engaged in non-sustainable industries are first screened out. Remaining candidates are then vetted based on third-party sustainability ratings and public commitments, assessed for the transparency of their ESG reporting, and finally scored on environmental and social performance metrics—including greenhouse-gas intensity, renewables usage, gender balance, and employee well-being.

“Securing this recognition two years in a row reaffirms that our approach is on the right track,” says Calle Medin, Head of Sustainability at Husqvarna Group. “But sustainability isn’t a finish line; it’s an ongoing journey. We’ll keep raising the bar, innovating responsibly, and weaving sustainability into every part of our business.”

Since the end of 2015, Husqvarna Group has slashed its greenhouse-gas emissions by over 50% while simultaneously growing profitably—proof that ambitious climate action and strong financial performance can go hand in hand.
