(PRESS RELEASE) LEINFELDEN-ECHTERDINGEN, 13-May-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Mercedes-Benz Trucks is expanding its battery-electric truck lineup with new variants of the eActros 600, aiming to further support the decarbonization of the transport sector. The flagship model, which has already proven its capabilities in real-world conditions, will serve as the foundation for these new versions, featuring enhanced configurations for a broader range of transport applications.

Building on the strengths of the eActros 600, these new variants will offer more flexible options, including semitrailer tractors, platform chassis with extended wheelbases, and various battery package configurations. The new variants will also feature alternative long cab designs based on the proven Actros model, offering different roof shapes to meet the specific needs of diverse customers. These developments ensure that Mercedes-Benz Trucks continues to lead in delivering cutting-edge solutions for heavy-duty long-haul operations.

Achim Puchert, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Trucks, commented, “Our mission is to accelerate the decarbonization of the transport industry by electrifying a growing number of transport applications. With these new variants of the eActros 600, we aim to provide our customers with the best solutions from the Mercedes-Benz Trucks modular system, supporting them in transitioning to battery-electric transportation efficiently and economically.”

The eActros 600 remains the core of Mercedes-Benz’s battery-electric truck portfolio. Its advanced technological features, including a self-developed electric drive axle, lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery technology, and the Multimedia Cockpit Interactive 2, set it apart in the competitive heavy-duty electric truck market. These features enhance energy efficiency, driving comfort, and safety, while the 800-volt system ensures optimal performance.

With a high battery capacity of over 600 kWh, the eActros 600 can achieve a range of up to 500 kilometers in practical long-haul conditions with a 40-ton gross combination mass. This range is complemented by the ability to charge during driver breaks, enabling the truck to cover more than 1,000 kilometers per day with intermediate charging. The eActros 600’s batteries are designed for long-lasting performance, providing a high degree of reliability and safety.

The new eActros 600 variants will be available for order from autumn 2025, with production beginning at the Wörth am Rhein plant. Mercedes-Benz Trucks continues to prioritize infrastructure development, having announced plans for a semi-public charging network to support the rapid adoption of electric trucks across Europe.
