(PRESS RELEASE) MARSEILLE, 7-Feb-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — AD Ports Group (ADPORTS:ADX), a key player in integrated trade, transport, and logistics solutions, has solidified a significant partnership with CMA CGM Group, a leading global provider of maritime, land, air, and logistics services. The two entities signed a shareholders’ agreement today, paving the way for the joint development, management, and operation of the New East Mole multipurpose terminal at the Port of Pointe Noire in Congo-Brazzaville. This collaboration follows AD Ports Group’s receipt of a 30-year extendable concession for the terminal in June 2023.

The newly formed joint venture, with a majority stake held by AD Ports Group, will oversee the operations of the New East Mole terminal, which is set to handle a diverse range of cargo, including containers, break-bulk, general cargo, and more. The terminal is located at Pointe Noire, the largest Atlantic port in the Central West African region.

AD Ports Group has committed to investing an estimated USD 220 million (AED 807 million) during Phase 1 of the project. This phase includes the construction of a 400-meter quay wall at a 16-meter depth and a 10-hectare logistics area.

This agreement further strengthens the bond between AD Ports Group and CMA CGM Group, following the successful inauguration of CMA Terminals Khalifa Port in December. The AED 3.1 billion (USD 845 million) terminal at Khalifa Port is expected to increase its container capacity by 33%, or 2.6 million Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEUs), by 2024, underscoring the growing collaboration between the two industry giants.
